Underoath tease “unrestricted” upcoming live streamed concert series

Share

When Underoath announced their impending live streamed concert series Underoath: Observatory last week, they made it pretty damn clear they would be pulling out all the stops to create a streamed performance like no other.

Today, while still keeping their cards close to their chest, the band have given us a sneak peak at what they’ve been scheming.

No doubt motivated to separate themselves from the onslaught of poorly planned and even more poorly executed live streamed ‘experiences’ that flooded our senses in a bout of creative diarrhoea that struck during the first first wave of the global quarantine, Underoath have put in the leg work to create a live-streamed wonderland, allowing fans to “feel more a part of the performance and see aspects of a show not possible at an in-person venue.”

Teaming up with immersion wizards TNSN DVSN, Underoath have ‘built’ a digital stage for the performance “unrestricted by traditional live stage settings.” In a very slick video presentation, the band have teased a virtual stage plot thats far more elaborate than a band members living room, or a patchwork of lo-res Zoom conferences.

“We can’t have you all in the same room with us”, they noted, “but we’re working to have it be as interactive as possible,” the band explained previously, after first revealing their plans soon after their live-streamed full-band ‘review’ of They’re Only Chasing Safety

Each album has been allocated its own dedicated concert, with the band dropping a stream schedule that is thankfully very Australian-audience friendly. You’ll be able to catch the shows at the below local times.

The events will be ticketed, and you can find out more information after the jump.
