Novocastrian beatdown brawlers Volatile Ways aren’t ones to turn down a donnybrook. The smoke yet to clear from their most recent live enslaught, but with a sharp crack of the knuckles the band has announced they’re doing it again – releasing a run of headline dates set to unleash all sorts of chaos upon Australia’s poor, unsuspecting East Coast for the Goddess Of Rot tour.
Volatile Ways have wasted no time at all peddling their bone-crushing wares, slipping into playlists – and headphones – the world over with 2020’s Condemned To Life, Burdened To Death before doubling down on the brutality with the rapid fire release, 2021’s short-but-savage Demonstrations Of Mass Destruction. Step back and admire the releases together and you see a band who effortlessly wield thoughtful, empassioned storytelling with brutal, unforgiving instrumentals.
One of their latest outtings, for example, Time’s Up doesn’t block out the sun, it beats it into oblivion with a relentless beatdown / deathcore one-two combo.
Fans are no doubt still hearing the ringing in their ears from the bands most recent live assaults, with tales of energy and furisotuy now spreading throughout the land. It won’t end with this run of dates, either with the band being picked to support Confession on their upcoming When Goodbye Means It’s Life And Death tour in October.
Joining Volatile Ways for this particular fray will be Sydney hardcore ensemble Trenchknife as well as Melbourne beatdown up-starts Algor Mortis.
