Sleep Token kicked off their 2025 festival run over the weekend, and true to form, they did it without so much as a whisper.
Playing Rock Im Park in Germany on June 7, the masked cult faves unleashed a stack of new material from their latest record Even In Arcadia in a performance that felt more like an exorcism than a concert.
Opening with the live debut of the album’s opener “Look to Winward,” Vessel and co. wasted no time in dragging fans into their world. From there, the band carved through a set that included new tracks “Emergence,” the slinky, serotonin-laced “Caramel,” and the thunderous “Damocles”. All performed live for the first time.
But it wasn’t just about the fresh cuts. They brought out heavy-hitters too: “The Summoning,” “Alkaline,” “Rain,” and “Granite” were all in the mix, as were deep cuts like “Thread the Needle” and “The Love You Want.” The 16-song setlist made one thing clear. This isn’t a band dipping a toe into arena stardom, they’re quite literally cannonballing into it.
Even in a festival slot, Sleep Token somehow make it feel intimate. Cinematic lighting, ritualistic pacing, and that cult-like crowd energy that turns a performance into a sermon. It’s not a gig, it’s worship. And judging by the crowd reactions online, Rock Im Park was more than ready to kneel at the altar.
All eyes are now on Download Festival this weekend, where Sleep Token will headline Saturday night alongside Green Day and Korn. A two-hour set is promised, and if Rock Im Park was the warm-up, Download might just be the coronation.
Even In Arcadia dropped last month and it’s already being hailed as another masterpiece in their growing catalogue. But the arc continues and the worship deepens. Sleep Token aren’t just riding the wave—they are the tide.
