Share

Wheatus are heading to Australia and New Zealand in January, performing their self-titled album in full.

Wheatus are set to return to Australia and, for the first time, make their live debut in New Zealand on an extensive run of shows through January. The band will perform their self-titled debut album in full, marking 25 years since its release.

For their 2026 Australia and New Zealand tour, Wheatus will perform their debut album in full each night, while also taking requests from fans for other favourites spanning their three-decade career – a tradition they’ve kept alive for nearly 20 years.

Wheatus’ self-titled album’s breakout single, ‘Teenage Dirtbag’, has proven to be a multi-generational anthem. First released in 2000, the track has taken on a new life in recent years. The viral Teenage Dirtbag photos trend on TikTok attracted over a million participants, with celebrities including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Mark Ruffalo, Lil Nas X, Jon Bon Jovi, and Chevy Chase joining in.

The hashtag #teenagedirtbag has amassed more than 2 billion views. The song also re-entered the UK Top 40 charts in 2023, proving Wheatus’ staying power in popular culture even over two decades on.

This resurgence has seen Wheatus take on some of the most high-profile shows of their career, performing alongside artists such as Alice Cooper, The 1975, Muse, Blink-182, Paramore, and Coheed & Cambria. More recently, they joined Bowling For Soup on major US and UK tours, playing to some of the largest crowds of their careers – as well as a cheeky acoustic tour in Australia in February this year.

Time to get two tickets, don’t say maybe.
