Yungblud Sydney Tour: Set Times, Tickets, Setlist & More

Yungblud is hitting Sydney to kick off the Australian leg of the Idols World Tour. Here’s everything we know from set times, tickets, and more.

Yungblud is officially kicking off the Aussie leg of his Idols World Tour this week, with six huge shows in five different cities. It’s the first time the iconic artist has hit Aussie shores since his 2022 Life On Mars tour, and Sydney’s up first for a huge night of rock ‘n’ roll energy and massive singalongs.

We’ve rounded up everything you should know before attending his first and only Sydney show, including the set times, setlist, how to get to Qudos Bank Arena in amongst the chaos, and more – so let’s get into it.

Yungblud Idols Australian Tour Sydney dates and location

Yungblud will play at Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, 10 January – a venue upgrade from the original Hordern Pavilion location. He’ll be supported by Dune Rats.

Yungblud Sydney set times

Qudos Bank Arena and Frontier Touring have yet to confirm the Yungblud Sydney set times, only noting that the ticketed start time is 7pm. However, the Transport NSW site lists the following:

• Doors Open: 6:00pm
• Dune Rats: 8:00pm
• Yungblud: 9:00pm
• Event End: 10:30pm

We’ll update this once Frontier or the venue confirms, in case of any changes.

How to get to the Yungblud Sydney show

Transport NSW is strongly recommending those attending Yungblud’s Sydney show plan ahead and try to arrive early. If you need to drive in, prebooking a space via the Sydney Olympic Park site is your best bet for a painless experience and will set you back $35. There’s expected to be some pretty hectic traffic at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout before and after. For those who don’t prebook, there may be some casual parking around Olympic Park – but we probably wouldn’t take the risk unless you plan on arriving extremely early.

Those taking Uber, taxi, or other ride share options should keep in mind that due to high demand, the wait to get out of Qudos Bank Arena and into a car may be a long one. The nearest taxi rank is Herb Elliott Avenue near the Pullman Hotel. 

If you’re planning to take public transport to see Yungblud in Sydney, be warned that there are planned trackworks on Saturday. Buses will replace T7 Line trains between Lidcombe and Olympic Park. There’s also a number of other lines impacted, so be sure to check the timetable for any disruptions or changes before you set off. You can plan your journey and see a full guide to getting there and back here. Qudos Bank Arena is closest to Olympic Park Station. If you’re planning to take the bus the whole way (not just replacement buses), there’s:

• Route 525 between Paramatta and Olympic Park via Newington.
• Route 526 between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
• Route 533 between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde. 

There’s also the light rail, but yet again – there’s trackwork and replacement buses abound. 

Yungblud Sydney Setlist

The Yungblud setlist for the Aussie leg of his Idols World Tour isn’t clear just yet. However, here’s the rough setlist he ran through at his European shows recently, albeit with some variation between gigs:

Yungblud Merch: Where to buy

Unfortunately unlike AC/DC, Oasis and Metallica, there’s been no word yet about any Yungblud merch pop-up stores. However, merchandise will be available at Qudos Bank Arena for those wanting to grab something on their way into the show, but it’ll likely be snapped up quick with some pretty hectic lines. The venue is fully cashless, so make sure to bring your card or phone for any payments.

YUNGBLUD: IDOLS Photography Exhibition Sydney 

While not technically an official event that’s part of the Idols tour festivities, Behind The Gallery is hosting a Yungblud photography exhibition by Tom Pallant in the days surrounding his Sydney gig in Newtown. Here’s the dates:

• Thursday 8th January: 11:00am – 5:00pm
• Friday 9th January: 11:00am -5pm
  • Album Playback: 6:30pm – 8pm
• Saturday 10th November: 11:00am – 5:00pm
• Sunday 11 January: 11:00am – 4:00pm
