156/Silence have released their sixth full-length album ‘From A Distance’, arriving with a new video featuring Make Them Suffer’s Alex Reade and an Australian tour already locked in for February 2027.
Pittsburgh heavyweights 156/Silence have released From A Distance today via Pure Noise Records, marking their first full-length since 2024’s People Watching.
Produced by Josh Schroeder, the new record pushes 156/Silence deeper into atmosphere and mood without sanding down the violence underneath it. The band have long been good at making their songs feel claustrophobic and cinematic, and From A Distance appears to lean even harder into that tension.
The album also arrives with a new video for the title track, featuring Alex Reade of Make Them Suffer, when asked about the song’s meaning, the band shared:
‘Love. Love is the most important thing in the world no matter what. Through all the bad and evil, there will always be more good. Even if it’s from a distance, the love we share is worth more than anything.’

156/Silence Stretch Their Sound Further
From A Distance acts as something of a spiritual follow-up to People Watching, but the band have broadened the palette again.
The record features guest appearances from Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada, Alex Reade of Make Them Suffer and Tony Castrati of Crippling Alcoholism.
Lyrically, the album takes a wider look at social behaviour, celebrity worship, intrusive thoughts and interpersonal connection, while musically the band continue pulling from hardcore, metalcore, mathcore and more atmospheric territory.
That refusal to sit still has become part of the point.
Jimmy Howell has previously spoken about wanting 156/Silence to evolve in the same way bands like Thrice and Bring Me The Horizon have, rather than simply rebuilding the same record every few years.
