AC/DC is in Perth for two shows at Optus Stadium. Here’s everything we know from set times, tickets, and more.
AC/DC officially kicked off their POWER UP Australian tour last month in Melbourne as part of their mega, month-long run of nine shows across the country. With between 3.5 and 4 million tickets sold on their current world tour so far, it’s bound to be absolutely massive as they continue blazing across the country – and Perth is in for two huge gigs before the legends move on to the next state.
We’ve rounded up everything you should know before attending their Perth shows, including the set times, setlist, how to get to Optus Stadium in amongst the chaos, and more – so let’s get into it.
AC/DC POWER UP Australian Tour Perth dates and location

AC/DC will play at the Optus Stadium on Thursday, 4 December and Monday, 8 December. They’ll be supported by Amyl and the Sniffers and Southern River Band.
AC/DC Perth set times
According to the official Optus Stadium site, the AC/DC set times are TBC, so we’ll update this as more info becomes available. What we do know right now is that public gates will open at 5pm and the show starts at 6:10pm.
However, here’s the set times from Melbourne and Sydney for a rough estimate, and based off that start time this is probably pretty spot on:
- First Support: 6:10pm
- Amyl & The Sniffers: 7:00pm
- AC/DC: 8:30pm
It’s not clear exactly how long the set will run for, but expect anywhere from 1.5-2 hours worth of Acca Dacca when it’s all said and done.
AC/DC POWER UP Tour Perth tickets
There’s still tickets for both AC/DC Perth shows, and you can check out what’s left here. Alternatively, you can check out Tixel for additional resale tickets here.
How to get to the AC/DC Perth show

Transperth is strongly recommending those attending AC/DC’s Perth shows leave the car at home and take public transport in. If you do need to drive in, be warned there’s no parking available at Optus Stadium on major event days, with the exception of limited ACROD parking bays which need to be pre-registered for online.
Those taking Uber, taxi, or other ride share options should keep in mind that due to high demand, the wait to get out of Optus Stadium and into a car may be a long one. The primary taxi rank is located off Victoria Park Drive. The taxi rank is adjacent to the Eastern Train Station accessible via the underpass. There’s also an eight-stand pick up and drop off facility on Sailani Avenue in East Perth for taxi and ride share, a short walk to the stadium across the Matagarup Bridge. Private vehicles won’t be able to drop off or pick up passengers there. The traffic leaving and arriving is also bound to be pretty horrific, so plan to arrive early and expect delays on the way out – the same goes for any means of getting in, as getting into the stadium will likely take some time due to the sheer amount of attendees.
Transperth has also issued an update for those taking public transport. Your ticket includes travel on all Transperth services for three hours either side of each days concert. Simply show your event ticket to the driver or inspector if asked. However, if you’re planning on collecting your ticket at the venue, you will need to pay a normal fare to get there.
You can plan your journey and see a full guide to getting there and back here. Additional services will be running to and from Optus Stadium, with the Suburban Bus network also operating after the concert (not before). During the concert, Red CAT services will extend to Matagarup Bridge, the pedestrian bridge to Perth Stadium. Services will be extended from approximately two hours before the event, continuing until one hour after the event, including during the concert. Additional Red CAT services will also run.

AC/DC Merch: Where to buy

Following the route of Metallica and Oasis, AC/DC has an official merch pop-up store open from 3 December until 8 December. It’s located at Cleaver House, 45 Plaistowe Mews, West Perth WA 6005. According to the official AC/DC tour site, it’ll be host to “legendary tour props” like the tour cannon and Hells Bell, and have exclusive merch including limited-edition vinyl “you won’t find anywhere else.”
Here’s the opening hours over the week:
- Dec 3, 5, 6, 7: 12 PM – 10 PM
- Dec 4 & 8 (AC/DC Showdays): 11 AM – 5 PM
There’ll of course be merch available at Optus Stadium for those wanting to grab something on their way in to one of the shows, but it’ll likely be snapped up quick with some pretty hectic lines – so if you don’t want to miss out on a good spot or miss any of the show, it might be worth ducking down to the pop-up. Don’t worry if you’re not in Perth, either – there will be pop-ups in each city, coinciding with AC/DC’s Aussie tour dates.
