AFI fans, the wait is finally over. The California legends are returning to Australia in March 2025 for two exclusive headline shows. After they arrive, they’ll hit Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on March 2 and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on March 6.

These shows mark their first Australian headline shows in eight years. These intimate gigs will follow their tour with Green Day, offering a rare chance to see AFI up close. For fans though, this isn’t just another gig. It’s actually a chance to experience one of the most influential bands in alternative music history in two of Australia’s most iconic venues.

AFI, formed by Davey Havok and Adam Carson in 1991, started as a hardcore punk act. Over the years, their sound has evolved to include gothic rock, punk, and melodic elements. Albums like Sing the Sorrow and Decemberunderground helped them break into the mainstream without compromising their spiky bits.

The band have since released hits like ‘Girl’s Not Grey,’ ‘Miss Murder,’ and ‘Silver and Cold’. From this, they laid the foundations for a music career that continues to flourish some thirty three years later. Renowned for the intensity and raw emotion that permeates throughout their live performances, these performance are certainly not to be missed.

From memory, AFI’s last Australian shows were nothing short of legendary. Here you can can expect a mix of their biggest hits and cult favourites, delivered with unparalleled energy. While a Melbourne show is yet to be announced, keep checking in here for updates.

Tickets for these shows go on sale at 1 pm on Monday, December 16. Mastercard holders can access a pre-sale starting December 11 at 12 pm local time. Live Nation members can join their pre-sale from December 13 at 1 pm.
