BABYMETAL Sydney Setlist: Hordern Pavilion March 20 2026 (Photos)

BABYMETAL returned to Sydney on March 20 for their second show at the Hordern Pavilion, delivering a performance built on precision, movement and full-scale production.

From the opening moments, the crowd was already in motion. Crowd surfers came early and didn’t let up, moving over the barricade within the first song and continuing throughout the set. It was a mixed room, with kids on shoulders alongside longtime metal fans, all feeding into the same energy.

Blunt’s Sydney photographer James Miller, who now leads our photo coverage across Sydney as part of our east coast team alongside Melbourne and Brisbane, captured what he could of a show defined by discipline. Every movement on stage was tightly choreographed, with constant motion from start to finish. The level of rehearsal behind it was obvious, but it translated into impact rather than rigidity.

Due to strict photography restrictions on the night, only a limited number of approved images were captured, but they still offer a glimpse into the scale of the performance.

The production matched that intensity. Fog cannons rolled across the stage, pyro hit in sync with key moments, and the lighting design shifted constantly to keep pace with the set. Backed by the KAMI Band, the sound carried weight across a large setlist that never slowed down.

Tracks like ‘Gimme Chocolate!!’, ‘PA PA YA!!’ and ‘Road of Resistance’ pushed the room into overdrive, while newer material continued to build on the direction the band spoke about in our recent interview around METAL FORTH and their push to lead the next generation of metal.

It was a performance built on structure and intensity, and at the Hordern Pavilion, that combination landed exactly where it needed to.
