Bad Wolves are getting ready to show their hand.
After days of teasing a major announcement for June 29th, the multi platinum alternative metal outfit Bad Wolves has now released another preview of what appears to be their next single, Paint It Red, and it’s only adding fuel to growing speculation around the band’s rebuilt lineup.
The latest teaser landed six hours ago and offers another glimpse into Bad Wolves’ next chapter, which has quietly been taking shape behind the scenes for months.
New line-up speculation
While the band has yet to officially confirm who is involved, the project appears to be emerging from a substantial reset led by drummer John Boecklin following a wave of lineup changes.
Over recent months, rumours have continued to circulate around who may be stepping into the fold, among the names repeatedly linked to the reboot are Sara “Killboy” Skinner on vocals and Animals As Leaders guitarist Javier Reyes, though neither has been formally announced by the band at the time of publication (per The PRP).
What has been publicly acknowledged is that new music is coming, Boecklin previously confirmed via social media that Bad Wolves’ fifth studio album has been in production throughout 2026, with more details promised when the time was right.
That moment now appears to be close, the Monday (June 29th) date attached to the Paint It Red rollout is shaping up as more than a standard single release, with fans increasingly expecting official confirmation around the group’s future lineup alongside the new music.
The changes come after a turbulent stretch for the band, former vocalist Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz has since joined Falling In Reverse’s touring lineup, while guitarist Doc Coyle returned to activity with God Forbid and has also been touring with Snot.
Elsewhere, former members Chris Cain and Tommy Vext have been preparing to launch a separate new project, for now though, attention shifts back to Bad Wolves.
Whatever Paint It Red ends up revealing, it looks increasingly likely that Monday won’t just introduce a new song, it may introduce an entirely new version of the band.
