Melbourne heavy hitters Banks Arcade are back with another explosive release, unveiling their latest single ‘Mirror’ ahead of hitting the road across Australia later this year.
Known for seamlessly blending metalcore with electronic textures, hip-hop influences and huge melodic hooks, Banks Arcade continue to push their sound forward with what may be their most emotionally confronting track to date.
‘Mirror’ explores themes of guilt, anger and self destruction, pairing crushing riffs with polished production and a chorus that hits hard, lyrically the track examines learned behaviours, damaged self-worth and the struggle of confronting the person staring back at you.
While Banks Arcade have never shied away from writing vulnerable music, ‘Mirror’ carries a sharper edge. The band’s trademark mix of heavy instrumentation and modern production remains intact, but there’s a noticeable intensity running through every moment, giving the song an urgency that feels both personal and cathartic.

The release continues an impressive run for the band, who have steadily built a reputation as one of Australia’s most exciting modern heavy acts.
Originally forming in Auckland before relocating to Melbourne, Banks Arcade quickly established their own identity by fusing metalcore with electronic and hip-hop influences in a way that feels natural rather than forced.
Their debut album Future Lovers and subsequent EP releases helped grow an international audience, while extensive touring across Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom has seen them share stages with artists including Northlane and In Hearts Wake, alongside appearances at major festivals.
‘Mirror’ feels like another confident step forward, showcasing a band that continues to evolve without losing the sound that first put them on the map.
