Big Noter Announce Debut Album ‘Songs In The Key Of Wrestling’ And Drop Furious New Single ‘F.M.D’

Big Noter have officially stepped into album territory.

Australian heavy outfit Big Noter fronted by Briggs has announced their debut full length, Songs In The Key Of Wrestling, arriving September 18th via Island Records Australia. Alongside the announcement comes new single F.M.D, a track that channels frustration, confrontation and lived experience into something immediate and impossible to ignore.

Since first emerging, Big Noter have quickly carved out space as one of the country’s most compelling heavy acts, pulling from hardcore, punk and metal while keeping every message direct and impossible to misread.

Produced by Nick Didia (whose credits include Rage Against the Machine and Pearl Jam), F.M.D takes aim at the myths, assumptions and racism that continue to shape public conversations around Aboriginal people in Australia.

Briggs on the track

Speaking on the track, Briggs said:

“Your average Australian (racist) comment section will have you believe Aboriginal people have FREE Californian bungalows and a Hilux in the driveway.

Here’s the list of things blackfullas get for free: Diabetes, Heart Disease, Incarceration, Suicide, unemployment and that’s just the top 5. Nothing given, only taken away! So look, if you’re sick of hearing about it; imagine how we feel?! FMD!”

That same energy appears set to run through Songs In The Key Of Wrestling, a debut positioned less as an introduction and more as a statement of intent.

To mark the release, Big Noter will also hit the road for a short run of headline dates across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
