Blink-182 fans are on high alert after the legendary pop-punk trio appeared to tease a special announcement tied to the 25th anniversary of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.
The band sparked widespread speculation this week after posting the album’s iconic artwork across social media platforms alongside a sign-up link encouraging fans to register for future updates, while no official details have been revealed, the timing has fuelled excitement ahead of the album’s milestone anniversary on Friday, June 12th (per Billboard).
Fans began theorising about what could be on the way, with possibilities ranging from a deluxe reissue packed with unreleased material to a vinyl box set, anniversary merchandise collection or even a commemorative tour celebrating one of the most influential pop-punk albums ever released.

A defining moment
Originally released on June 12, 2001, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket marked a defining moment in Blink-182‘s career, the record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming the first punk-rock album in history to open atop the chart and further cementing the band’s status as one of the biggest acts of the early 2000s.
The album delivered some of Blink-182’s most beloved songs, including The Rock Show, First Date and Stay Together for the Kids, while the first two tracks captured the band’s trademark humour and youthful energy, Stay Together for the Kids showcased a more emotional side, tackling family breakdown and personal struggles in a way that resonated deeply with fans.
At the time, the trio of Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker were operating at the peak of their commercial powers, the album’s success led to extensive global touring, including the now iconic Pop Disaster Tour alongside Green Day.
The teaser also continues Blink-182’s recent habit of revisiting key moments from their catalogue, the band previously celebrated the 20th anniversary of Enema of the State with a full album tour, while Tom DeLonge’s return to the lineup has reignited interest in the group’s classic era.
The announcement speculation arrives during another successful chapter for Blink-182, their 2023 reunion album One More Time… debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning the band their first chart topping album in more than two decades.
