Blood For Blood Return With First New Song In 21 Years + Announce Roadrunner Signing And ‘Return From Exile’ Tour

Share

Boston hardcore legends Blood for Blood have kicked the doors back open after two decades of near total silence, announcing their signing to Roadrunner Records and dropping their first new track in 21 years.

The single, ‘YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO KILL ME’, arrives with all the grit and working class fury that made the band a cornerstone of late ’90s hardcore, only now sharpened by the weight of time and the force of a long building return.

Roadrunner calling this “a return from exile” isn’t hyperbole, Blood for Blood have been mostly dormant since the early 2000s, minus a few short lived reunion sparks. This track though? The spark doesn’t just catch, it explodes.

Opening with that unmistakable Boston snarl, the band launch straight into two step fun, basslines that bite, riffs that hit hard and a chorus built for sweat drenched pile-ons, the Cool Hand Luke nod in the intro sets the tone, before everything blows wide open.

Listen to ‘YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO KILL ME’ here.

Lyrically

YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO KILL ME’ takes aim at a culture obsessed with curated outlaw fantasy, as frontman Rob Lind puts it, “It’s a straight up the pipe Blood for Blood song… For all of this contempt, it ends on a really positive note. It might even be uplifting, which is my hope.”

The band are equally blunt about what comes next, “Blood for Blood have returned from exile with new music and new live dates. We’re proud to say we’ve signed with Roadrunner Records, and our new single ‘You’re Gonna Have to Kill Me’ is streaming everywhere now.”

With founding guitarist/vocalist “White Trash” Rob Lind and original bassist Ian McFarland steering the ship, this comeback feels less like nostalgia and more like a proper reawakening, the kind that reminds you why this band shaped an entire subculture.

Blood for Blood will hit the road in 2026 for their Return From Exile tour with Skinhead on select dates.
