The team at Blunt are beyond stoked to share that we’ve cracked 50 million views across our owned site’s and social platforms in June alone – the widest distribution in Blunt’s 25-year history. As we celebrate this massive milestone, we wanted to thank you, our community, for your support.
That’s right: more than 50 million views on the stories, interviews, and reviews we’ve been pumping out daily, from the heart of Australia’s alternative scene to the world stage.
It’s a milestone that comes as alternative music experiences a ferocious resurgence. Artists like Sleep Token are storming the charts worldwide, reminding everyone that heavy, weird, and wonderful sounds aren’t just alive – they’re thriving. We’ve seen Bring Me The Horizon drop game-changing singles, Spiritbox’s unstoppable rise, and Parkway Drive keep the Aussie metal spirit burning bright on home soil.
This moment isn’t just about numbers on a screen, though. It’s about every one of you who reads, shares, and talks about the culture we love. Whether you’ve been here since we were a mag in the early 2000s (and covered your wall in our posters), or discovered Blunt through a TikTok last week, you’re the reason we get to do this.
Blunt Magazine editor Emily Spindler says this milestone just goes to show the power of the music and scene we know and love, as well as the community. “Alternative music has never been more vital, and neither has the Blunt community. Blunt might be home-grown, but we’re ready to take over the world. With the recent launch of Blunt US, we’re entering a new era for our alternative music media empire, now with boots on the ground in the United States too.
