Blunt Magazine is expanding stateside with Blunt US, bringing louder, bolder alt content to a whole new audience.
After fifteen years of chaos, culture, and community, The Underground Australia is officially joining forces with Blunt Magazine to launch Blunt US – a new era for our alternative music media empire, now with boots on the ground in the United States.
Blunt US will serve as the American division of Blunt’s global expansion, bringing with it a fresh wave of interviews, features, festival coverage, and full-throttle content for the U.S. heavy and alt scenes. The move marks a huge milestone for both brands – The Underground, which has long championed the heavy, the weird, and the loud across its podcast and site, and Blunt, one of Australia’s most iconic names in alternative music journalism.
“Over the years, we’ve noticed something big: a huge part of our community is based in the United States,” wrote founder Ned Tepper in the announcement. “So, we’re making it official.”
With a new home at www.blunt.us, the site is live now with original U.S. focused content – while keeping that same DIY energy and love for subculture that’s fuelled The Underground since day one. Artists, actors, wrestlers, and other misfits of the world: consider yourselves warned.
“I’m still here running the show,” Ned adds, “now with the power of Blunt behind us to take things to the next level.”
For Aussie fans, nothing’s changing at the home base. You’ll still find all the local music and mayhem over at Blunt Mag on Facebook. But for those stateside? It’s your time. The Underground is evolving, and it’s going to be louder than ever.
Follow Blunt.US on Facebook and stay tuned for the all the chaos, coverage on the ground, and stories from the scene. It’s gonna be real, raw, and loud.
