After years of anticipation, delays and endless fan questions, Breaking Benjamin have officially confirmed that their long awaited new studio album is complete.
Speaking at Germany’s Rock Am Ring festival, guitarists Jasen Rauch and Keith Wallen revealed that the follow up to 2018’s Ember has finally crossed the finish line after an extensive and often challenging recording process (per Blabbermouth).
“Well, the album’s done,” Rauch confirmed. “There is [a title for it]. We are so close for everything coming out. We have some big announcements coming.”
The record marks the band’s first full length studio album in more than eight years and arrives following a period filled with lineup changes, personal challenges and extensive reworking of material.
“We’ve been recording pretty much full time four years now post-pandemic,” Rauch explained. “Some of these songs we re-recorded three different times. We’ve had a lineup change. There was some personal stuff going on, individually, families, things in the band.”

Despite the lengthy process, the guitarist says the band is incredibly proud of the finished result, Keith Wallen echoed the excitement, acknowledging the growing impatience from fans eager for new music:
“We’re done. It’s sinking in, ’cause we see all the comments, we see all the fans [saying], just, like, ‘When’s the new album coming out?'” Wallen said. “Trust me, we are so ready to [put it out]. We are so excited.”
According to Rauch, the final piece of the puzzle was completed only weeks ago while the band was travelling between festival appearances.
“We had one more line to record vocals on,” he recalled. “We recorded that line, and that was the last one for the record.”
The group is currently finalising artwork and mastering, with an official release date expected to be announced during the northern hemisphere summer.
The news follows the release of recent singles Awaken and Something Wicked, both of which offered fans a glimpse into the band’s next chapter. While Awaken marked their first new music since 2018 and became a major streaming success, Something Wicked showcased a darker and more ambitious direction.
Frontman Benjamin Burnley previously described the new material as a creative challenge for the band:
“We pushed every boundary we’ve previously had as far as it will go, then pushed a little more,” Burnley said of Something Wicked.
With the album now complete and major announcements on the horizon, it appears Breaking Benjamin‘s lengthy silence is finally coming to an end.
