Carcass Explain Decision To Reschedule Tour
In a statement, Carcass stressed that postponing the shows was not a decision they had taken lightly.
“We’re incredibly sorry to announce that we have decided to reschedule our upcoming “Putrefying Down Under” Australia / NZ tour along with our China and India dates. Our drummer Dan is facing a deeply upsetting family situation, and his priority right now is being with his family. Out of respect for everyone involved, we won’t be sharing further details, but we hope our fans will understand that this is a situation where family has to come first and he simply cannot be so far away from home for so long. We know how much people have been looking forward to these shows and rescheduling them is not a decision we have taken lightly. Thank you for your patience, understanding and, most importantly, your kindness and support at what is a very difficult time for our band and family. All existing tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, further information to follow. Thank you for understanding. CARCASS”
The rescheduled run will still feature Brujeria across the five Australian capital city dates, while the Townsville and Auckland shows will go ahead without them.
Local support has also been confirmed for each stop, including Kimura in Perth, Anggrath in Adelaide, Nembutolik in Melbourne, Hormagaunt in Sydney and Cryptivore in Brisbane.
Townsville gets an especially heavy consolation prize with Psycroptic and Necrophage joining Carcass, while Just One Fix and Soul Void will open the Auckland finale.
