Australian fans are finally getting the full Carpenter Brut experience.

French synthwave phenomenon Carpenter Brut has announced his first ever Australian headline tour, bringing his acclaimed live production to the east coast next January before making what is expected to be a standout appearance at Froth & Fury Festival in Adelaide.

Over the past decade, Carpenter Brut has built a global reputation by fusing thunderous synthwave with metal, industrial and horror-inspired cinematic soundscapes. Drawing influence from filmmaker John Carpenter alongside heavyweights like Slayer, Justice and cult horror director Dario Argento, his music has become one of the defining sounds of the modern dark synth movement.

Explosive live reputation

His explosive live performances have earned praise across Europe’s biggest festivals, combining crushing guitars, pulsing electronic beats and immersive visuals into a show that feels as much like a horror film as it does a concert.

The Australian run arrives in support of Leather Temple, the final instalment in a trilogy that began with Leather Teeth in 2018 before continuing with Leather Terror in 2022. The latest release further expands Carpenter Brut’s dystopian universe, cementing his reputation as one of synthwave’s most ambitious artists.

Joining the tour on every Australian date will be fellow French electronic producer Sierra Veins (above), whose atmospheric blend of dark electronic music and cinematic textures makes for an ideal pairing.

For Australian audiences, these headline dates represent something fans have waited years to experience. While Carpenter Brut has amassed a dedicated following locally through streaming, gaming soundtracks and film placements, this marks the first opportunity to witness his complete audio visual live production on Australian soil.

With demand expected to be high, fans keen to experience one of electronic music’s most visually spectacular live acts won’t want to leave tickets too long.
