Catch Your Breath aren’t easing into 2026 quietly, the Texas outfit have dropped their new single ‘Blood Money’, just weeks out from their first ever Australian headline tour, and it hits hard.
Released via Thriller Records, the track leans harder into confrontation than some of their earlier material. It’s less polished heartbreak, the kind of track that feels like it’s been sitting under the skin for a while.
Frontman Josh Mowery doesn’t dress it up (via press release):
“You can’t take what was never yours. ‘Blood Money’ is for anyone who’s been pushed to the edge by the people who tried to own them. We’re done staying quiet while you profit off our pain. See you at the throne.”

A darker turn with sharper edges
‘Blood Money’ pushes Catch Your Breath into heavier territory, there’s still that melodic pull they’ve built their name on, but it’s wrapped in something more direct, less vulnerability for vulnerability’s sake, more clarity after the dust settles.
The track circles a familiar tension, being drained, used, and watching someone else benefit from it. But instead of sitting in that space, it flips the script into something defiant.
It’s a smart shift, especially for a band that’s already racked up over 360 million global streams, largely off the back of their 2023 debut ‘Shame On Me’ and the breakout single ‘Dial Tone’.
Australia finally gets its first taste
Despite those numbers, Australia has been waiting, but that’s about to change come May.
The band will land for a five date run presented by Destroy All Lines, hitting capital cities across the country. For a group that’s already torn through festivals like Sonic Temple and Welcome To Rockville, these rooms are going to feel close, loud, and probably a bit volatile.
They’re also stepping into a packed year, with appearances lined up across Nova Rock, Rock am Ring, Download Festival and more, which makes this run feel like a rare early look before things scale up again.
