LA Post-Punk Rising Force DECEITS Lock In First Ever Australian Shows

Share

Australia’s darkwave and post-punk crowd are finally getting their chance.

Los Angeles trio DECEITS have officially announced their first Australian performances, locking in two exclusive headline shows this December with stops in Sydney and Melbourne.

Arriving out of LA’s rapidly growing underground scene, DECEITS have built momentum fast thanks to a sound that trades cold detachment for something more emotional, urgent and immersive.

Pulling from post-punk, darkwave and gothic textures, the trio have carved out a lane that feels both nostalgic and completely contemporary.

DECEITS Australia tour 2026:

Their self description says it best:

“Too romantic for the punks, too fierce for the goths. We play passionate post-punk.”

Formed in late 2021, DECEITS draw inspiration from genre-shaping names including The Cure, Human Tetris, Motorama, The Chameleons, For Against, New Order and Bauhaus, while pushing their own emotionally charged identity forward.

The lineup features Kevin “Puppy” Moreno (vocals, bass, keyboards), Skylar Francise (guitar), and Francisco Saenz (percussion).

Following a run of buzzworthy singles, the band independently released debut album If There’s No Heaven… in late 2023, a record that quickly expanded their audience beyond the underground.

Tracks including Drowning In An Empty Sea (below) and Mi Amor, Mi Vampira helped propel the group onto larger stages across the US, including a headline appearance at Los Angeles venue El Rey Theatre.

Their growing reputation has also seen them share stages with post-punk and goth favourites including The Chameleons and Diva Destruction, while landing a performance slot at 2025’s Cruel World Festival.

Now, after years of building international momentum, Australian audiences will finally get their first taste of DECEITS live, expect soaring melodies, dancefloor melancholy and the kind of intensity that’s helped turn the band into one of modern post-punk’s fastest rising names.
