Def Leppard To Be Immortalised With Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame Later This Month

Def Leppard is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during a ceremony on October 9th. Jon Bon Jovi and Universal Music president Bruce Resnikoff will be guest speakers at the event.

UK pop-metal legends Def Leppard will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony on October 9th.

The band will receive their star in the “Recording” category, with the ceremony starting at 11:30am PT (October 10 4:30am AEST), and will feature Jon Bon Jovi and Universal Music president Bruce Resnikoff as guest speakers. SiriusXM’s Bob Buchmann will also serve as emcee for the event.

In a statement, Def Leppard wrote, “Honoured to share that we will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 9, courtesy of Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. None of this would be possible without YOU. Thank you.”

Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez would add, “The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Def Leppard to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Def Leppard has earned a permanent place not only in music history, but now on one of the most famous sidewalks in the world.”

Def Leppard were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 by Queen’s Brian May. Over their career, they created two Diamond-selling albums in the US – the first being 1987’s Hysteria, which sold a whopping 12 million units, and 1983’s Pyromania, certified at 10 million. The ceremony follows the band’s completion of their North American tour. Def Leppard is set to co-headline the Rock The Tides destination festival, set for November 7th through 9th in Riviera Maya, Mexico, before starting their Las Vegas residency in February.

`
