Descendents Announce Australian + New Zealand Tour Celebrating 30 Years Of ‘Everything Sucks’

If you’ve ever screamed along to Descendents in a sweaty room and thought, yeah, this band basically wrote the rulebook, you’re about to get your chance to do it again.

California punk legends Descendents have announced an Australian and New Zealand tour for June 2026, celebrating 30 years of their 1996 album ‘Everything Sucks’, it’s one of those records that doesn’t just sit in punk history, it’s welded into it.

Fifteen tracks, no filler, just pure hardcore-pop-punk snap, stitched together with the band’s trademark humour and that nervous romantic energy that made them impossible to imitate properly.

The band have confirmed fans can expect to hear a stack of tracks from ‘Everything Sucks’ across the run, alongside the essential hits that always make their way into Descendents sets, if you’ve seen them before, you know they don’t do “legacy act” energy.

They play like it’s still 1996 and the world still owes them money.

The tour kicks off Wednesday, June 3rd at Barwon Heads Hotel before rolling through Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast, then finishing with two dates in New Zealand, Wellington and Auckland.

Descendents have been doing this since 1977, which is genuinely insane when you stop and think about it, through lineup shifts, breakups, and reformations, the current core remains iconic: Milo Aukerman (vocals), Stephen Egerton (guitar), Karl Alvarez (bass), and Bill Stevenson (drums).

Between them they helped shape the Los Angeles hardcore scene, then accidentally inspired half the punk bands that came after.

Pre-sale begins Thursday, February 5th 2026 at 10am AEDT, with general tickets going on sale Friday, February 6th 2026 at 10am AEDT.
