Parkway Drive are bringing Park Waves Festival to Australia: here’s everything we know so far about the next big festival to hit Aussie shores.
It’s official: Park Waves Festival is coming to Australia. Byron Bay legends Parkway Drive are set to debut the festival on Aussie shores – and while info is pretty light-on at the moment, we’ve collated everything we know so far in one place.
We’ll be updating this piece as more info becomes available, so keep checking back!
Update: 7pm 08/06/2025 – Park Waves Dates and Venues REVEALED
What is Park Waves Festival?
The very first Park Waves was launched by Parkway Drive in Dresden, Germany last year (July 6, 2024) and saw the titans headlining alongside Dying Fetus, Fit For a King, Erra and Aussie mates in the form of Thy Art Is Murder and Alpha Wolf.
The Australian iteration will see the band work alongside Aussie promoters Destroy All Lines (Good Things Festival & Hellbound Cruise to name some of their previous work alongside a pretty huge chunk of heavy and alternative tours Down Under). Based on social media posts, it looks like Oztix is in on the gig too.
This festival comes as part a massive run for Parkway Drive, who just last month played at the Sydney Opera House for a game-changing night of music, alongside being added to the Hellbound Cruise lineup in May.
Park Waves Festival Dates & Locations
A lot of larger heavy festivals like Good Things and Knotfest go for the East Coast only route (that’s Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne), but Park Waves Australia isn’t doing Perth and Adelaide dirty this time – we’re getting a full span of 11 dates across the country (and regionally!), including a massive hometown show in Byron Bay.

Park Waves Festival Announcement
Parkway Drive announced that Park Waves would be making its Australian debut on July 6 with a teaser video alongside an Aussie flag emoji and the simple caption: “Park Waves is coming…get ready for the next wave.”
The post encouraged fans to register on the official site for more news, and said to “watch this space.”
The announcement comes exactly a year after the very first event in Germany in 2024.
Park Waves Lineup
We don’t know the lineup for the event just yet, but it’s a pretty safe bet to say Parkway Drive themselves are likely to headline the local debut – based on the inaugural German festival, the precedent set by Slipknot headlining Knotfest when it came to our shores for the first time (and the third), and general common sense.
Beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess who else will be on the bill. We’ll likely see some other Aussie heavyweights in the mix when the announcement comes – we know that Thy Art Is Murder and Alpha Wolf joined the German Park Waves date last year, but whether they’ll make a return for the second run of the event as a whole and the first on home soil isn’t yet clear.
Given it was only announced this week, we’re likely to see a lineup announcement incoming soon.
