Twenty years in and Five Finger Death Punch are marking the milestone the only way they know how, by releasing another record and refusing to treat it like a victory lap.
Las Vegas heavyweights Five Finger Death Punch have announced their tenth studio album, Legacy, arriving digitally on July 31st via Better Noise Music, with physical editions following on September 18th across CD, vinyl and cassette formats.
Alongside the announcement comes new track De Oppresso Liber, giving fans another taste of what the next chapter of Five Finger Death Punch sounds like, check it out below.

What it means
For guitarist Zoltan Bathory, the album title reflects more than longevity.
“Every album is a snapshot of who we were at that particular moment in time, and Legacy is exactly what the title suggests.”
He continued:
“It’s a reflection on the journey, the lessons, the victories, the struggles, and everything we’ve experienced over the last two decades.”
Bathory also pointed to the role fans have played across that history:
“What makes that journey meaningful is that we didn’t make it alone. We traveled this road alongside millions of fans around the world and somehow became part of each other’s lives. That’s an incredible thing to reflect on twenty years later.”
Frontman Ivan Moody made it clear the record isn’t intended as a retrospective:
“At the same time, Legacy isn’t about looking backward. 20 years is a milestone, not a destination.”
He added:
“We’re incredibly proud of this record because it captures everything people love about Five Finger Death Punch while also pointing toward where we’re headed next.”
The newly released De Oppresso Liber arrives carrying its own meaning:
“‘De Oppresso Liber’ is more than just a motto. It’s a calling. It’s a philosophy. It represents a willingness to stand between danger and those who cannot defend themselves.”
