Foo Fighters have officially launched their massive Take Cover North American stadium tour, delivering a marathon 26 song performance in Toronto alongside special guests Queens of the Stone Age.
While the two rock heavyweights are sharing stages across North America, Australian fans won’t have to wait long to see them both return, albeit on separate headline tours (per Ultimate Classic Rock).
Opening the tour at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium, Foo Fighters wasted no time reminding fans why they’re one of rock’s most enduring live acts.
Kicking off with “All My Life,” Dave Grohl and company powered through a career-spanning set packed with classics including “The Pretender,” “My Hero,” “Learn to Fly,” “Monkey Wrench” and “Everlong.”
The show also featured a stripped back acoustic segment on a secondary stage, giving fans more intimate renditions of “Wheels,” “Marigold,” “Big Me” and “Under You.”
Later in the night, the band debuted “Caught in the Echo” as the sole representative from their recently released album Your Favorite Toy, before closing with the emotional pairing of “The Teacher” and “Everlong.”

Queens of the Stone Age
Opening the evening, Queens of the Stone Age returned to their trademark hard hitting sound after their recent semi-acoustic Catacombs performances.
Josh Homme’s band leaned heavily into fan favourites from …Like Clockwork and Songs for the Deaf, with highlights including “My God Is the Sun,” “I Sat by the Ocean,” “Go With the Flow,” “No One Knows” and the explosive closer “A Song for the Dead.”
Although the pairing has proven to be a dream bill for North American audiences, Australian fans will be catching the bands separately over the coming months.

Foo Fighters arrive in Australia this November for a huge stadium run before returning in January 2027 to complete dates in New Zealand and Perth, the tour marks the band’s biggest Australasian run in years and features a rotating lineup of local support acts at every show.

Meanwhile, Queens of the Stone Age return in December for their own arena tour with legendary alternative rock outfit Primus and Australian experimental favourites Tropical Fuck Storm.
The run follows the release of their latest single “Easy Street” and continues a packed international touring schedule.
