From Ashes To New have officially unleashed their new album ‘Reflections’, out now via Better Noise Music, and it lands with a sense of weight that doesn’t shake easily.
Alongside the release, From Ashes To New have shared the video for ‘Forever’, a track that leans into their more introspective side before detonating into towering choruses and breakdowns. It’s polished, but there’s something unsettled sitting underneath it all.

According to Matt Brandyberry, the track wasn’t forced into existence, it showed up when everything else was already in place (per press release).
“‘Forever’ came together at the very end of the record, almost like it was waiting for everything else to fall into place before it could exist,” Brandyberry shares. “There’s a sense of finality to it, like standing in the aftermath of something you can’t fix, realizing too late where it all went wrong. It paints a picture of how it feels when regret won’t let go.”
He adds that the band deliberately stepped outside their comfort zone this time around.
“We pushed ourselves further than we ever have on this one. We made choices that felt uncomfortable, but that’s what helped shape it into something different for us. The goal wasn’t to play it safe; it was to evolve and create something that sticks with you. ‘Forever’ doesn’t resolve cleanly…It lingers, and that’s exactly what we wanted.”
A reset instead of a repeat
‘Reflections’ arrives as the follow up to 2023’s ‘Blackout’, which pulled serious numbers across streaming platforms, instead of chasing that same formula, the band hit reset.
After writing 16 demo tracks, they scrapped most of it (keeping just two songs) and started again, it’s a risky move, but one that’s clearly shaped the final result into something more deliberate.
“It’s not a concept album by design, but there’s a common theme running through it — that feeling of being stuck in a kind of purgatory, where you can almost see something better ahead of you, but there’s always something dragging you back down.”
That tension runs through the album, it’s familiar enough to sit comfortably with long-time fans, but there’s a push for something bigger underneath.
“This record is a reflection of who we were while making it, but even more than that, it’s a statement of who we’re becoming. Every song helped shape a sound that feels honest to where we’re headed, not where we’ve been. We didn’t hold anything back, and you can hear that in every moment.”
