One Battle After Another And Adolescence Win Big At The 2026 Golden Globes

Share

The Golden Globes are done for another year, with Paul Thomas Anderson looking good for his Oscar run.

The 83rd Golden Globes are done and dusted. Hosted once again by Nicky Glaser, the Globes may not be as acclaimed as the Academy Awards (they are, at least, clawing back some respectability after, well, you know), the Golden Globes are nonetheless closely watched by studios and industry pundits – a win at the Globes augurs well for a similar result at the Oscars.

Which means One Battle After Another director Paul Thomas Anderson must be feeling pretty good about his chances. The nigh-universally acclaimed (I thought it was pretty good, but that’s about it) adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s novel of the same name won all four categories it was nominated in: Best Picture – Comedy Or Musical, Best Director – Motion Picture, Best Screenplay – Motion Picture, and Best Performance By A Female Actor In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture for Teyana Taylor. Yes, those category names are a mouthful.

And as for the rest of the night’s winners, look no further:
