Independent music agency Good Intent has announced that it’s taking applicants for its annual ‘Greater Good’ grant, offering a $30k package to support an upcoming artist.
If you’re an up-and-coming artist, you’ll wanna take a look at this.
Independent music agency Good Intent is taking applicants for its annual ‘Greater Good’ grant. The grant is designed to help support independent artists get their foot in the door, providing much-needed financial support and industry experience.
The grant is valued at over $30,000 AUD and includes a cash grant of $4,000, a creative consultation session with Ollie Wards, the Director of Music at TikTok, two days of recording a single with Lewis Mitchell (The Kid Laroi, Gang of Youths), a photography shoot and more.

If you manage to claim the big prize, you’ll be joining an impressive list of artists like ixaras, LAZY GHOST, PENI PARKER and Jelly Oshen.
This year, the grant has partnered up with several industry leaders, including APRA AMCOS, Forbes Street Studios, Jungle Merchandise, PHILTER, Zenith Records, Media Arts Lawyers, Billy Zammit, PLAKKIT and Louder Accounting.
The grant has started accepting applicants today and will stop accepting submissions on September 3rd 5pm AEST. Shortlisted candidates will be announced on September 21st and the winner will be announced sometime in 2026.
So, if you’re a musician without a recording or publishing deal, it’s a pretty good foot in the door if you ask me.
“We’re very privileged to be able to help grow our industry through this initiative, in collaboration with our incredible collection of partners,” Good Intent Director Rick Bridgman shared in a press statement. “We’ve discovered so many exceptional artists over the years – some established, many brand-new – with over 600 applicants alone last year.”
Applications will be assessed by an industry panel that includes Caitlin McGregor (MusicNSW), Glenn Dickie (Sounds Australia), Jannah Beth (Offbeat Collective), Daniel Morgan (Astral People), Emmy Mack (RedHook / triple j), Jess Wust (Cult Artists), Brittany Green (Campbelltown Arts Centre) and Bridgman (Good Intent), collaborating on the initiative.
“We’re honoured to provide this package, guidance and skill development to the winner,” comments Bridgman, “plus the 20 shortlisted applicants and more to help shape their futures.”
If this sounds like something you’d be keen to apply for (and who wouldn’t?), visit Good Intent’s website to apply.
