Greg Puciato Breaks Silence On Better Lovers Exit: ‘No Bad Blood’

Share

Greg Puciato has addressed his departure from Better Lovers, confirming there’s no internal blow up behind the split.

After the band announced they were parting ways with the former Dillinger Escape Plan frontman, the metal community lit up with speculation, but Puciato has stepped in to cool it down.

Earlier today, Better Lovers revealed they would continue working on their upcoming album without Puciato, offering a brief message wishing him well, no deep dive or dramatic explanation, just a clean break (per Metal Sucks).

Not long after, Puciato reshared the band’s statement to his Instagram story and added his own words in all caps clarity:

“NO BAD BLOOD
EVERYONE’S COOL
DON’T SPECULATE
LOVE THESE PEOPLE AND LOVE THE BAND
ROOTING FOR THEM ALL COLLECTIVELY AND INDIVIDUALLY
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING THE LAST FEW YEARS SPECIAL
LONG LIVE THE FROG”

No Drama, Just Distance

For a scene that thrives on tension and mythology, this feels refreshingly straightforward with no passive aggressive swipes or cryptic shade, just a clear message to fans, stop digging for dirt.

Better Lovers formed in 2023, bringing together members of Every Time I Die with Puciato on vocals, the project quickly carved out its own identity, balancing metallic precision with the unhinged energy Puciato has built his career on.

Now, with the band pushing ahead on a new record, it’s obvious the machine isn’t stopping, it’s just shifting gears.

What’s Next For Puciato?

If you’re worried about Puciato disappearing into the void, don’t be, he’s already revived The Black Queen, leaning back into the darker, electronic textures that sit miles away from metallic hardcore but hit just as hard emotionally.

For Australian fans watching from afar, the main question now is whether this reshuffle affects any future touring plans, at this stage, there’s no indication of what it means for live shows.
