GWAR And Insane Clown Posse Face Off On ‘Hot Ones Versus’ As Shaggy 2 Dope Readdresses Fred Durst Incident

If you needed proof that the holiday season is cursed in the best possible way, Hot Ones Versus delivered a gift wrapped in hot sauce and bad decisions.

GWAR and Insane Clown Posse went head to head in a Christmas episode, pitting Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope against Blöthar the Berserker and Balsac The Jaws Of Death in a battle of trivia, endurance, and increasingly unhinged wings drenched in The Last Dab.

As you’d probably expect, things spiralled quickly.

Among the fun?

Shaggy 2 Dope was forced to revisit one of ICP’s most infamous live moments, his ill advised 2018 onstage dropkick attempt aimed at Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst.

Shaggy didn’t dodge the question, owning the moment with brutal honesty.

“Well, alcohol was involved. That was done as a work — [a] wrestling work dropkick — I wasn’t actually trying to dropkick him for real. I don’t know why in my drunk brain, I just figured that he was also a wrestler and he’d know to ‘sell’ the move.

He didn’t sell it… How he sold it was their security came out and choked me out onstage and dragged me out. I’ve apologized a million times over since. I feel like a dumbass of course for doing that sh*t.”

The incident took place on October 6th, 2018, during Rock Allegiance in New Jersey, Limp Bizkit had just wrapped their cover of George Michael’s ‘Faith’ when Shaggy rushed the stage.

The dropkick narrowly missed Durst, security swarmed, and the clip detonated across the internet within hours, check it out below:

The moment was eventually smoothed over, with Shaggy repeatedly taking responsibility in the years since.

GWAR are gearing up for fresh bloodshed, the band has announced ‘The Gor Gor Strikes Back Tour’, a massive US run kicking off March 19th in Richmond, Virginia, and wrapping April 29th in Charlotte, North Carolina. Soulfly will serve as direct support, with King Parrot opening every night.
