Holding Absence are finally stepping out on their own in Australia, announcing their first ever headline tour set for August 2026.
After years of building momentum on support slots, Welsh trio Kingdom of Giants are returning with purpose, bringing Kingdom of Giants along for the ride, tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 29th at 11am local time via Destroy All Lines, and if their past runs here are anything to go by, these rooms won’t stay quiet for long.
The tour kicks off in Brisbane on August 14th, before cutting through Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide, wrapping up in Perth on August 20th, it marks a shift for the band, who’ve previously hit Australian stages alongside the likes of Thornhill, Void Of Vision, and You Me At Six, but never as the main draw.

A band moving into its next phase
Holding Absence aren’t walking into this tour as the same band that first landed here, their last record, ‘The Noble Art Of Self-Destruction’, closed out a trilogy that defined their rise, and since then, things have shifted.
Their latest single, ‘Whisper Of A Dream’ (below) hints at that transition, it’s more restrained, more reflective, but still carries the emotional weight they’ve built their name on, the kind of track that doesn’t explode, it lingers.
This upcoming run feels like a checkpoint, a way to test what still connects and what evolves as they move forward.
Kingdom of Giants return with new firepower
Joining the full tour, Kingdom of Giants are back in Australia after their 2023 run with Bury Tomorrow, since then, they’ve dropped ‘Bleeding Star’ and ‘Burning Chrome’, doubling down on their blend of metalcore heft and synth laced atmosphere.
Their sound leans cinematic without losing bite, heavy riffs collide with electronic textures, while the vocals swing between clean and unhinged, it’s controlled intensity, built for rooms that sweat.
