Howard Jones is looking to release a solo project with the help of Josh Gilbert and Joseph McQueen.
Former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones has just confirmed he’s working on a new album and has already begun recording material.
It’s been 13 years since Jones left the metalcore outfit after serving as the band’s frontman for a decade. Since then, Jones has been relatively private, working on small projects here and there. But now, it’s looking like he’s set for a comeback.
Even better, Jones has announced he’s on two new projects at the same time. Last December, he announced via social media that he would be working with his former band member Adam Dutkiewicz for a new project called Burn Eternal and shared that everything was already mixed and mastered.
The singer also confirmed on July 19 via Instagram that he’s working on a second solo project, and has already started recording for it. In the same post, Jones announced that Josh Gilbert (Spiritbox) and Joseph McQueen (Bullet For My Valentine) will be joining him in the studio.

We have talked about this for a couple years, thrilled to finally get started. Lots to share with several projects over the next few months, thank you to everyone who has kept up with this crazy ride. Here we go!”
With two albums on the way, it’s looking like we’re going to be spoiled with new music from Howard Jones after a substantial drought.
Jones recently joined his former band on stage last month at the Summer of Loud fest in Florida, performing three tracks with the band.
You can check out the footage below if you’re keen to see the former frontman belt out some classic Killswitch Engage and get a hit of that nostalgia.
