Ice Nine Kills have returned to the INKverse with the next chapter of their blood soaked Play Dead saga, unveiling the second instalment of the cinematic music video tied to their collaboration with horror gaming phenomenon Dead by Daylight.
Released a month after Part One, the latest chapter picks up where the original left off, continuing Ice Nine Kills increasingly elaborate horror storyline while bringing back several familiar faces.
Skateboarding icon Tony Hawk, actor Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Idle Hands) and actor and musician Krsy Fox (Terrifier 2, Little Bites) all reprise their roles as the twisted narrative unfolds.
The track itself was created alongside longtime Dead by Daylight composer Michel F. April as part of the game’s 10th anniversary celebrations, further cementing Ice Nine Kills’ place at the intersection of heavy music, horror cinema and gaming culture.

With Part Two now arriving, the collaboration has evolved beyond a simple soundtrack tie in into a fully realised multimedia event.
The release continues a remarkable run for Ice Nine Kills, who have spent recent years building official partnerships with some of horror’s biggest names while continuing to dominate rock radio and festival stages around the world.
Frontman Spencer Charnas has repeatedly embraced the band’s love of cinematic storytelling, and Play Dead continues that tradition with another polished, gore filled production packed with Easter eggs for horror fans.

Australian fans won’t have to wait long to see Ice Nine Kills back on local stages, the band will return this September as special guests on Electric Callboy’s Australian arena tour, marking their first visit since their popularity reached new heights through The Silver Scream era and a string of blockbuster collaborations.
