IGORRR Finally Announce First Ever Australian Tour For 2027

Share

After more than two decades of twisting genre rules beyond recognition, IGORRR are finally bringing their unpredictable live experience to Australia.

For the first time in the project’s 21 year history, French experimental force IGORRR will hit Australian stages across late January and early February 2027, delivering a run of headline dates alongside a festival appearance.

Originally launched by multi instrumentalist Gautier Serre as a solo creative outlet, IGORRR has steadily evolved into a full live entity known for turning impossible musical combinations into something unexpectedly cohesive.

Defining the sound

Trying to define the sound has always been part of the challenge, IGORRR has fused together elements of extreme metal, classical music, breakcore, electronic chaos and progressive experimentation into something that feels completely detached from genre conventions.

Influences stretching from Meshuggah and Cannibal Corpse through to Chopin, Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Taraf De Haidouks and Aphex Twin have all helped shape the project’s constantly shifting identity.

Imitation has never been the goal, Serre has built a reputation on transformation, taking those inspirations and creating a world that feels entirely its own. Every release has pushed into new territory, and that unpredictability has become central to both the recordings and the increasingly intense live show and now Australian audiences finally get their chance to experience it firsthand.

The run kicks off with an appearance at Froth & Fury Festival before heading east for a series of headline performances in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

For fans of music that refuses to sit comfortably inside one scene or label, this may end up being one of the most unique heavy tours landing locally next year.
