In This Moment Release New Album ‘Witch’, Team With Dayseeker On ‘I Want To Believe’

In This Moment have officially unleashed their ninth studio album ‘Witch’, with Maria Brink and co. marking its arrival today (August 28th), with one of the record’s biggest collaborations.

‘I Want To Believe’ brings In This Moment together with Dayseeker, pairing Brink with vocalist Rory Rodriguez for a track that digs into holding onto hope when everything around you appears to be falling apart.

The album is also In This Moment’s first full-length for Better Noise Music and follows 2023’s ‘Godmode’.

In This Moment Meet Dayseeker

‘I Want To Believe’ arrives alongside a cinematic new video, with Brink describing the song as an attempt to find some light amid inevitable change.

‘’I Want To Believe’ is the flicker of light you protect as shadows close in. It’s reaching for a hand that’s slipping away, knowing endings are inevitable, yet still clinging for the glow of hope. It’s the quiet fight to believe in light while the world shifts, knowing that even as one chapter fades, another will dawn.’

The collaboration didn’t emerge entirely from nowhere. Dayseeker previously toured with In This Moment, giving Rodriguez and the band a chance to build a relationship before taking it into the studio.

‘We had a chance to tour with IN THIS MOMENT last year and they were so kind to us. I was very excited about the idea of us creating something together musically and I think people are going to love it.’

‘Witch’ Goes Beyond One Collaboration

Dayseeker aren’t the only guests lurking across the album’s 11 tracks.

Kim Dracula appears on ‘Heretic’, while Kat Von D joins In This Moment for their interpretation of Pink Floyd’s ‘Another Brick In The Wall’. The record also closes with ‘Something I Can Never Have’.

For Brink, however, ‘Witch’ is ultimately tied together by transformation rather than its guest list.

‘WITCH is my declaration of inner transformation,’ she says. ‘It’s about embracing the duality within — taking pain, persecution, and struggle — and alchemizing them into strength and power. The album reflects both ancient trials and my own journey — where being a ‘witch’ means being a creator, connected to the universe, manifesting my own reality.’

Nine albums deep, In This Moment aren’t stripping back the theatricality that has become inseparable from the band. ‘Witch’ instead finds them pushing further into it while opening the doors to some interesting company.
