The European Stomp Tour 27 will revisit Bush’s four Anthrax albums of original material, with headline dates alongside a packed festival run.
John Bush is taking his Anthrax catalogue across Europe in 2027. He’s announced his first headline shows on the continent dedicated to the music he recorded with the thrash giants.
The European Stomp Tour 27 will draw from Sound Of White Noise, Stomp 442, Volume 8: The Threat Is Real and We’ve Come For You All. Blabbermouth’s announcement promises familiar favourites alongside deeper cuts that haven’t featured live in years.
“Looking forward to playing some awesome festivals and some headline shows as well. Cranking out songs from those four records,” Bush said in the statement carried by the outlet.
For fans who discovered Anthrax through those albums, the appeal goes beyond hearing the singles again. Bush wants to keep the less frequently performed songs in circulation too.
He explained that motivation to Eonmusic in September 2025, ahead of his first US shows celebrating the catalogue. Songs Anthrax rarely perform risked slipping into obscurity, he said, while acknowledging why the band’s setlists focus elsewhere.
“It’s not a competition with Anthrax,” he said.
The US shows demonstrated how far into the catalogue he was willing to go. During a June 2026 appearance on Trunk Nation, Bush recalled one fan’s persistent requests for ‘Strap It On’. He eventually performed it in New York.
According to Blabbermouth’s transcription, Bush said Anthrax had never played the We’ve Come For You All track live.
Bush hasn’t announced the European setlist, but that performance gives the promise of deeper cuts some weight.
The published itinerary runs from Berlin on July 29 to France’s Motocultor Festival on August 21. Headline stops include Aschaffenburg’s Colos-Saal on August 11 and London’s Electric Ballroom on August 14. Festival appearances include Wacken, Brutal Assault, Alcatraz, Dynamo Open Air and Summer Breeze.
Wacken announced Bush’s appearance in August. The expanded itinerary now takes the show beyond the festival circuit. It follows three US concerts in December 2025 and a Milwaukee Metal Fest appearance in June 2026.
The announcement includes no Australian dates.
