British rock heavyweights Kasabian are heading to Brisbane next February, joining an expanding On the Banks line-up alongside Amyl and the Sniffers, WAAX and more.

British rock outfit Kasabian have announced a Brisbane headline show for February 2027, joining the growing line-up for Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s (QPAC) On the Banks concert series.

The band will perform at Brisbane’s Cultural Forecourt, South Bank, on Wednesday, 24 February, bringing their live show to the riverside venue as part of the series’ expanded 2027 program.

The announcement arrived on Thursday, 15 October, with QPAC confirming Kasabian’s addition alongside newly announced performances from Fat Freddy’s Drop and Australian singer-songwriter Pete Murray.

Kasabian Join a Growing Brisbane Line-Up

Kasabian’s announcement adds another international rock act to the Brisbane concert calendar, with On the Banks assembling a program spanning alternative rock, punk and other genres.

Two nights after Kasabian’s performance, Australian punk favourites Amyl and the Sniffers will take over the Cultural Forecourt on Friday, 26 February, joined by Brisbane’s WAAX and Alice Springs metal outfit Southeast Desert Metal.

The pairing gives Brisbane fans two distinctly different nights of guitar-driven music within the same riverside concert series.

For Kasabian, the February appearance offers Australian audiences another opportunity to catch the Leicester band live, with the group continuing to perform under frontman Serge Pizzorno.

Tickets and Event Details

Tickets for Kasabian’s On the Banks performance go on general sale Wednesday, 21 October at 11 am AEST, with prices starting at $129.90, excluding transaction fees.

Supporting artists for the Brisbane show have yet to be announced.

The concert will take place at the Cultural Forecourt, South Bank, with further event information and ticketing available through QPAC’s official Kasabian event page.

With Kasabian now joining Amyl and the Sniffers, WAAX and Southeast Desert Metal on the 2027 program, On the Banks is shaping up as a significant addition to Brisbane’s summer live music calendar.
