Limp Bizkit are leaning harder than ever into their love of unpredictable live moments, and their latest show may have delivered the funniest collaboration of the year.
While Limp Bizkit performed at Creed’s Summer Of ’99 And Beyond Festival in Tinley Park, Illinois on the weekend (July 18th), Fred Durst and company found themselves interrupted by none other than the cast of Super Troopers.
Members of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe appeared fully in character, marching onto the stage to investigate what they claimed was a “noise complaint.” Rather than shutting the show down, the skit quickly descended into chaos before the comedians joined Limp Bizkit for a fitting finale, helping the band close the night with Break Stuff (per The PRP).
The appearance wasn’t random either, the comedy crew are currently promoting Super Troopers 3, which arrives in cinemas on August 7th, making the festival cameo a memorable way to spread the word.
A big couple of weeks
The performance also continues what’s becoming something of a trend for Limp Bizkit, who have embraced surprise comedy crossovers throughout their current touring cycle.
Just last week the band invited Canadian comedian and entertainer Tom Green on stage during Ottawa Bluesfest for a nostalgic performance of Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle). Green, who first found fame during MTV’s golden era alongside bands like Limp Bizkit, proved to be an unexpectedly perfect guest after reminding fans of his own musical roots with Canadian hip-hop group Organized Rhyme.
For Australian fans, every headline involving Limp Bizkit continues to fuel speculation surrounding a possible appearance at Good Things Festival 2026. While neither the band, festival organisers nor promoter Destroy All Lines have confirmed anything, the band’s touring schedule still leaves enough room for the rumours to remain alive.
Whether it’s reviving classic songs, teasing new music, burying decades old feuds by sharing a festival bill with Creed, or inviting comedians to become honorary band members for a night, Limp Bizkit continue to prove they’re one of heavy music’s most entertaining live acts.
And if this run of surprise guest appearances is anything to go by, fans probably shouldn’t expect the unexpected to stop anytime soon.
