A decade later, and ‘If This Is All We’re Going To Be’ still hits like a punch to the chest.
Luca Brasi have announced a national 10 year anniversary tour celebrating their pivotal 2016 album, alongside a limited gold vinyl repress of the record that shifted everything for the Tassie mainstays.
Released in 2016, ‘If This Is All We’re Going To Be’ marked a defining moment for the band, it was the record that pushed them onto the ARIA Albums Chart for the first time, landed ‘Anything Near Conviction’ in the triple j Hottest 100, and took them from sticky pub floors to major festival stages like Laneway, Splendour In The Grass and Falls.
For a lot of us, that album lived in sharehouses and on long regional drives, it carried heartbreak, small town frustration and the kind of hope that only makes sense when it’s shouted back at a stage.

A Record That Changed The Band
The songwriting cut sharper and the hooks dug in deeper, frontman Tyler Richardson’s voice sounded more urgent, more exposed.
Tours with Alexisonfire, Violent Soho and PUP followed, expanding their audience nationally and overseas. Yet Luca Brasi never lost that underdog pulse that’s kept them grounded since day one.
Ten years on, they’re taking those songs back where they belong, this isn’t nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake but a reminder of a record that shaped a band’s trajectory and carved itself into a generation of Aussie alternative fans.
If you were screaming these songs in 2016, chances are you’ll be doing it again in 2026.
