Marilyn Manson is wasting no time continuing the story he restarted in 2024.
The shock rock veteran has officially unveiled his new single, “Exit Wound”, while also confirming details of his next studio album, One Assassination Under God: Chapter 2 (per Rock Documented). The record is scheduled to arrive on August 14th via Nuclear Blast, marking the second instalment in the album series that has defined Manson’s recent creative resurgence.
For Australian fans, “Exit Wound” is available now, offering the first glimpse into where Manson is taking the narrative following the release of One Assassination Under God: Chapter 1.
The upcoming album follows a period that saw Manson return to recording and touring after several years away from the spotlight. Chapter 1 introduced listeners to a darker and more introspective era through tracks including “As Sick As The Secrets Within,” “Raise The Red Flag” and “Sacrilegious,” while laying the foundation for a larger conceptual story.
Marilyn Manson ‘Exit Wound’
Chapter 2
While Manson has yet to reveal a full tracklisting or extensive details about the album’s themes, the title suggests a direct continuation of the world established on the first record. The release of “Exit Wound” also signals that the next phase of the project may expand on the heavier, atmospheric sound that characterised much of Chapter 1.
The announcement arrives at a time when Manson’s creative output has become increasingly focused on long form storytelling, with the One Assassination Under God series serving as a connected body of work rather than standalone releases.
For longtime fans, the arrival of new material offers another opportunity to see how one of rock and metal’s most controversial and influential figures continues to evolve decades into his career.
With “Exit Wound” now available and One Assassination Under God: Chapter 2 locked in for an August release, the next chapter of Marilyn Manson’s latest era is officially underway.
