Industrial metal icons Ministry have officially confirmed the end of one of heavy music’s most influential careers, announcing their 17th and final studio album, Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery), arriving October 30th via Cleopatra Records.
Alongside the announcement, Ministry has released the first single, “Burned Out”, giving fans an early taste of what will be Al Jourgensen‘s final statement under the Ministry banner.
After more than four decades of reshaping industrial music, Jourgensen says the decision to call time on Ministry feels right:
“I’m fucking done. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’m amazed at the path that it’s taken, from With Sympathy to where we’re at today, and all points in between. It’s been quite a ride, but I’m completely at peace with the fact that it’s done. It’s time to herd goats.”
Since forming in Chicago in 1981, Ministry has evolved from synth-pop pioneers into one of industrial metal’s defining acts, influencing generations of artists with landmark releases including The Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste and Psalm 69.

The upcoming record also reunites Jourgensen with longtime collaborator Paul Barker one final time on closing track “We’re Still Here”, while current members Monte Pittman, Cesar Soto, Paul D’Amour, John Bechdel and Pepe Clarke Magaña all contribute to the album.
Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery) features ten tracks, including the newly released “Burned Out”, “Voices of Hate”, “Delete”, “Grifter” and album closer “We’re Still Here”, physical editions will be available across multiple vinyl variants, CD, cassette and deluxe box sets.

Farewell tour
Ministry won’t disappear quietly either, the band has confirmed a massive Goodbye Europe Tour beginning in April 2027 with industrial legends Die Krupps joining as special guests, a full North American farewell run will follow, with dates expected to be announced soon.
US fans still have one last opportunity to catch Ministry live this year, with performances scheduled at Colorado’s legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Chicago’s Salt Shed and festival appearances at Louder Than Life and Sick New World Texas, here’s hoping for one last Australian run next.
After 45 years, six Grammy nominations and a catalogue that helped define industrial music, Ministry’s final chapter is officially underway.
