Miss May I have shared another taste of their upcoming album No Place For Me, releasing the emotionally charged new single ‘Hand Me A Halo’ alongside an intense new music video.
The latest release follows last month’s album announcement and lead single Sanctuary, continuing the deeply personal themes that frontman Levi Benton says define the band’s eighth studio album.
Built around Benton’s unmistakable vocal delivery, Hand Me A Halo explores the struggle of losing your identity while battling the intrusive thoughts that often come with life’s biggest changes.
Explaining the meaning behind the track, Benton said:
“Hand Me A Halo tells the self-narrative of losing one’s sense of self and dealing with the intrusive thoughts that come with it. This song came from our own confusion and loss of identity through the changing seasons of life. The fear can be constant, leaving you to question if you just want someone to hand you a halo.”
