My Chemical Romance Confirm Danger Days Deluxe Drop With Rare Bonus Tracks

Share

My Chemical Romance have officially confirmed what fans were piecing together from yesterday’s cryptic teaser, announcing Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (Deluxe Edition), a remastered reissue of the band’s 2010 cult favourite landing July 10th via Reprise.

After sending the internet into meltdown with a mysterious “Tomorrow” post featuring the iconic spider emblem wrapped inside a Roman numeral XV, the band have now revealed the teaser was pointing to the 15th anniversary celebration of Danger Days.

The deluxe edition packs nine bonus tracks, many of which have never been available on streaming platforms or physical releases, making this one a major pull for collectors and longtime Killjoys devotees (per Alternative Press).

Among the newly available material is “Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) (Recorded For BBC Radio 1),” a live cut captured during the band’s 2010 BBC Radio 1 session, the release also arrives with a stack of collectible vinyl variants, including picture disc, zoetrope and coloured pressings.

A special BL/ind tour exclusive edition will also be sold at select dates between July 10th and October 31st.

The announcement lands as My Chemical Romance continue their massive Black Parade anniversary run, the band kick off the UK and European leg next month before heading back through North America, wrapping with five huge Hollywood Bowl shows in Los Angeles before heading to Southeast Asia.

For fans hoping yesterday’s teaser signalled an entirely new era, this might not be the fresh chapter some expected, but it’s still a huge moment for one of MCR’s most visually ambitious and lore heavy records.

Originally released in 2010, Danger Days marked a dramatic sonic and aesthetic shift for the band, swapping gothic melodrama for neon soaked post apocalyptic fun, while divisive at launch, it’s since become one of the group’s most beloved and influential releases.

And judging by the response online, the Fabulous Killjoys are still very much alive.
