The Osbourne family are preparing to take Ozzy Osbourne into the digital future, revealing ambitious plans to preserve the Prince Of Darkness through AI powered technology and immersive avatar experiences.
Speaking during the 2026 Licensing Expo, Jack Osbourne confirmed the family has partnered with HYPERREAL to build what he described as “the digital DNA of Ozzy Osbourne, voice, image [and] movement.” (per Loudwire).
“It’s kind of scary how it’s really very accurate,” Jack explained. “He will exist digitally as himself for as long as we have computers.”
According to Jack, the technology has evolved to the point where creating new digital Ozzy content is becoming remarkably simple.
“You could shoot a template for a commercial … literally prompt what you want Digital Ozzy to do in that commercial and you just drop it in. It’s that simple now.”
Massive potential
Sharon Osbourne also spoke about the project’s massive possibilities, hinting that fans worldwide could soon interact directly with the recreated version of Ozzy.
“You can ask Ozzy anything and he will answer you in his own voice — and the answers will be what Ozzy would have said,” she revealed. “We’re going to take it all around the world. People can talk to him and he will talk back.”
The partnership continues the Osbourne family’s long history of turning Ozzy’s larger than life persona into a global brand, from The Osbournes dominating television in the early 2000s to Ozzfest becoming one of rock’s defining touring festivals, the family have spent decades expanding Ozzy’s reach far beyond music.
Still, Jack insists authenticity remains the priority:
“Everything the family does with Ozzy’s name and likeness has to reflect who he really was,” he said. “It’s crucial to ask, ‘What would Ozzy do?’”
The family have already confirmed plans to revive Ozzfest in 2027, proving the Ozzy legacy is far from slowing down, and if Sharon gets her wish, the Prince Of Darkness could remain immortal for generations.
“Elvis died 50 years ago and everybody knows Elvis,” she said. “I just want that for Ozzy.”
