Pantera Announce Massive Two Day ‘The Great NOLA Trendkill’ Festival

Pantera are heading back to New Orleans for the first time in 30 years, and they’re bringing Down, Black Label Society, Power Trip and a formidable collection of heavy bands with them.

The band have announced The Great NOLA Trendkill, a two day festival taking over Lakefront Arena in New Orleans on November 20th and 21st.

The event arrives during the 30th anniversary year of Pantera’s The Great Southern Trendkill, originally released in 1996, and turns the occasion into something considerably larger than a standard anniversary show.

Pantera will be joined by Down, Black Label Society, Power Trip, Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar, Pig Destroyer, Eyehategod, Rāde and Herakleion across the two days. Individual daily line-ups are still to be announced.

There’s another significant milestone buried in the bill, too. Down will use the weekend as the official release show for their forthcoming Volume V album.

The Great NOLA Trendkill will also mark the return of Philip H. Anselmo’s Housecore Horror Festival, expanding the weekend beyond Lakefront Arena with horror screenings, guests, vendors and special appearances planned across New Orleans.

For Pantera, the homecoming carries additional history. The Great Southern Trendkill has a direct connection to New Orleans, with Anselmo’s vocals for the album recorded at Nothing Studios in the city while the instrumental sessions took place in Texas.
