After 17 years, Poison the Well are finally back with their latest album, Peace in Place and have shared a music video for their single ‘Weeping Tones’.

Florida metalcore group Poison the Well are finally back with their first album in over seventeen years, picking up where they left off.

Released March 20 via SharpTone Records, the band’s sixth album, Peace in Place, sees the band return revitalised, and mounting one of the most inspired comebacks from a metal group by far.

In celebration of the release, the band have also released a new music video for their track ‘Weeping Tones’, which features plenty of walking, the tornado from Man of Steel, and the meteors from that one 9/11 TV promo.

Alongside the video’s release, cocalist Jeffrey Moriera would go on to share that the track addresses the “quiet loss of control that comes from feeling like you can’t fully be yourself anymore. When you have to shrink who you are just to avoid judgment or conflict, it starts to feel like something is being taken from you. That’s what “Weeping Tones” is about.”

He’d also explain that the video would tie into these themes, sharing that it “reflects that struggle, but it also holds onto something stronger – the one thing no one can take from you: your ability to give your love and energy to the people who matter most. No matter how heavy the world gets, no matter how much it tries to pull you apart, you can always choose to keep walking until you reach what matters most – hold it close, and never let go.”

Poison the Well are set to make their return to Australia in June, marking their first tour down under since 2009.

The band will keep off their run with Haywire as support on Sunday, June 7th in Perth, tearing through Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Newcastle, before closing out on Sunday, June 14th in Brisbane.
