Poppy is continuing the Empty Hands era with another visually striking release, unveiling the official video for “Dying To Forget.”
Directed by Orie McGuiness, the clip marks another collaboration between the filmmaker and the two time GRAMMY nominated artist following their work together on Guardian, Bruised Sky and Time Will Tell.
The new visual leans fully into Poppy’s darker aesthetic, set inside a stark industrial environment, the video places Poppy and her band in a narrow corridor packed with fans who become part of the performance itself.
Rather than polished crowd shots, the energy feels immediate and chaotic as the audience crashes into the moment while Poppy delivers one of the album’s most aggressive and emotionally charged performances.

Adding another layer of familiarity for longtime listeners, the video also features appearances from Isaac Hale of Knocked Loose and Stephen Harrison of House of Protection, both of whom are credited as writers on Dying To Forget.
The release arrives as Empty Hands continues to gain momentum following its debut at No.7 on the ARIA Albums Chart, further cementing Poppy’s ability to move between worlds without losing her identity.
Across the album, industrial textures collide with sharp pop instincts while moments of experimentation reconnect with the surreal atmosphere that has defined her catalogue from the beginning.
Pitchfork praised the record, writing:
“The versatile metalcore singer amplifies all her strengths on her seventh album—it’s heavier, savvier, and quirkier than ever.”
With Dying To Forget, Poppy once again proves she’s less interested in fitting into a scene than reshaping one.
