PRESIDENT Explore Faith And Doubt On Powerful New Single ‘Dark Heaven’

Rising UK collective PRESIDENT continue to build momentum ahead of the release of their highly anticipated debut album, unveiling their latest single Dark Heaven alongside an emotional new visualiser.
The mysterious outfit PRESIDENT will release Blood Of Your Empire on September 4th via Atlantic Records, with Dark Heaven offering another glimpse into the band’s cinematic blend of alternative metal, electronic textures and atmospheric songwriting.
Explaining the meaning behind the new track, PRESIDENT said:
“‘dark heaven’ is a reflection on the contradictions of faith, and how something intended to unite humanity has so often been used to justify division, violence, and power. It’s about the way greed can wear the mask of righteousness. It isn’t an attack on belief itself; it’s about searching for something real beneath the noise, and asking what remains when certainty begins to crumble.”

Musically, Dark Heaven shifts between distorted, unsettling verses and soaring melodic hooks before exploding into a crushing chorus, lyrically it explores a deeply personal journey through faith, identity and uncertainty, themes that form the backbone of the band’s upcoming debut.
The accompanying visualiser (above) takes an unconventional approach, capturing genuine reactions from fans hearing the song for the very first time inside a church. Rather than relying on a traditional performance video, the clip focuses on the emotional impact the music has on listeners as they experience it in a fittingly symbolic setting.
PRESIDENT also opened up about the creative vision behind Blood Of Your Empire, revealing the album was born from a long running personal search for meaning.
“Blood Of Your Empire was born out of my own struggle with existential crisis and trying to make sense of belief, mortality, and humanity’s relationship with faith. Religion has inspired incredible compassion, purpose, and beauty in the world — but it has also been responsible for unimaginable suffering and bloodshed throughout history. This album lives in the tension between those two truths. Writing it became a way for me to confront the fear, confusion, and questions I’ve carried for years, and turn them into something I’m truly proud of.”

Adding another artistic layer to the project, the album artwork features Eugène Delacroix’s iconic painting The Battle of Poitiers, which is housed in the Louvre Museum.
PRESIDENT have deliberately remained anonymous, allowing the music to speak louder than personalities or public identities, that approach has helped fuel growing intrigue around the project, with each release expanding its rapidly growing audience.
