The Fonda Theatre show will bring Mike Muir, Robert Trujillo, Dean Pleasants, Dave Kushner and Brooks Wackerman together to play the debut in full.

Infectious Grooves will play their debut album in full for its 35th anniversary, with Metallica’s Robert Trujillo and Avenged Sevenfold’s Brooks Wackerman confirmed for the Los Angeles show.

The band’s announcement puts the celebration at the Fonda Theatre on 28 November 2026. Mike Muir, Dean Pleasants and former Velvet Revolver guitarist Dave Kushner complete the five-piece lineup.

They’ll perform The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move… It’s The Infectious Grooves from start to finish, alongside additional material. The band have also promised surprises, leaving that part of the night under wraps.

The venue has already hosted a related milestone this year. In the announcement, Infectious Grooves thank fans who attended Suicidal Tendencies’ 1 October performance as part of the Fonda’s centenary celebrations.

The album anniversary goes back to the project Muir and Trujillo formed in 1989 while playing together in Suicidal Tendencies. As the band’s own history recounts, Infectious Grooves mixed funk and heavy music across four albums released between 1991 and 2000.

Australian fans have their own history with that catalogue. Speaking to Wall Of Sound ahead of the band’s 2024 Australian run, Trujillo singled out Australia and France as places where Infectious Grooves had built a particularly loyal following through extensive touring.

That Australian lineup featured Jay Weinberg on drums alongside Muir, Trujillo, Pleasants and Kushner. Wackerman will take the drum stool for the Fonda anniversary show, bringing another of the band’s longstanding connections into the celebration.

The band say tickets go on sale on Friday, 23 October. The confirmed anniversary booking is in Los Angeles; no Australian dates accompany the announcement.
